Bright fluorescent light spills from the low hum of mercury-filled tubes,
haphazardly chained and swinging beneath a water-stained drop ceiling.

The local pizza shop is alive with screaming children, overflowing ashtrays,
wax-coated paper plates, and plastic cups built for frothy fountain sodas
and seemingly engineered to survive the apocalypse.

Then, from the corner, a beacon of hope.

A youth’s first glimpse of freedom, rebellion, and the open road,
marked by exotic cities and bikini-clad promise.

The game: CRUIS'N USA.

This shirt is an amalgam of those core childhood memories and present-day reality. May hope and a child’s wonder endure well into adulthood.
